Pagely Multi Edit is still causing problems on several of our sites but can be replaced by Multiple Content Blocks by Trendwork.
In wp_postmeta change meta_key
This can be achieved by running the following query for example
UPDATE wp_postmeta SET meta_key = REPLACE(meta_key, 'multiedit_RightColumn', '_mcb-right-column');
- Postmeta field names in Multiple Content Blocks are lowercase and spaces become dashes. eg. _mcb-right-column
- Template areas can have capitals and spaces eg. the_block(‘Right Column’)
- Pagely MultiEdit requires a line of code in the commented area of the template to define the editable regions used. This becomes redundant so can be removed
<?php /* Template Name: Custom Template * MultiEdit: Right,Bottom,Left */ ?>
